JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo is confident that the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) will act objectively in following up on the report against him.

PT Sinkos Multimedia Mandiri President Director and 1998 activist Faizal Assegaf previously reported Budi to Dewas.

“We leave it entirely to the KPK Supervisory Board, as we are confident that Dewas will objectively review and examine public complaints,” Budi said at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

Budi stated that currently, the KPK is focused on progress in handling cases by summoning several witnesses from the private sector, including cigarette entrepreneurs.

Previously, Faizal Assegaf reported Budi Prasetyo for alleged code of ethics violations to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) at the KPK ACLC Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

“We came to the KPK Supervisory Board to submit an official complaint letter, and we hope that Dewas, formed with public participation to ensure transparency in law enforcement, particularly for the KPK, will promptly respond to our report,” Faizal said when met after submitting the complaint.

Faizal stated that his report is specifically targeted at Budi Prasetyo because the KPK spokesperson is suspected of using the anti-corruption agency’s facilities to shape public opinion that does not align with facts.

“All the accusations and opinions he has built, including the latest major slander and big lie that the KPK has seized items from us, will serve as additional evidence at Polda Metro Jaya,” he said.

Faizal also denied that KPK investigators seized several items belonging to him related to a suspect in the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC).

“Because our colleagues last Friday voluntarily surrendered items given as personal assistance to them on their own initiative. So, there was no seizure,” he said.

Faizal explained that the items were initially rejected by investigators because there was no mechanism to accept them and they were not related to the alleged corruption case at DJBC.

“So, there was no seizure. What was the basis for a seizure? What happened was citizen participation in supporting anti-corruption efforts by surrendering items, and it was not related to the internal issues at Customs and Excise,” he added.
