KPK Sets 25 June Deadline for Auctioned Asset Payments

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has set a deadline of 25 June 2026 for the settlement of auctioned goods seized from corrupt individuals. “We are still waiting until 25 June as the final deadline for payment,” said Mungki Hadipratikto, Director of Asset Tracking, Evidence Management, and Execution at the KPK, to journalists in Jakarta on Monday. Mungki made the statement in response to several auction items, such as mobile phones, that sold for up to three times their reserve price when the auction closed on 18 June 2026. “To date, there has been no settlement of the auction fees for the mobile phone in question,” he revealed.

On a separate occasion, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that the mobile phones sold for up to three times their reserve price included a 64 GB iPhone with a reserve price of Rp231,000, which eventually sold for Rp34 million. “Then, an iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1 TB capacity sold for three times its reserve price, from Rp5.8 million to Rp17.8 million,” he said. He further noted that out of 193 registered bidders, 14 active participants submitted offers for the mobile phone. “Similarly, an item that had previously defaulted in an earlier auction was successfully sold this time, namely an iPhone 13 Pro Max with a reserve price of Rp1.9 million, which attracted 66 bidders and sold for Rp9.38 million,” Budi added.
