KPK seizes three large motorcycles and Rp2.8 billion in Customs corruption case
Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized three large motorcycles and foreign currency with a total value of approximately Rp2.8 billion in the ongoing investigation into alleged corruption within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance.
Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK Achmad Taufik Husein said at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Wednesday that the three motorcycles seized were a BMW R Nine T Scrambler, a Kawasaki Z900 and a Triumph Bonneville Bobber.
“Based on the investigation results which yesterday named GH as a suspect, we carried out several coercive measures, namely searches and seizures. These are the pieces of evidence that have been secured,” said Taufik.
In addition to the three motorcycles, the KPK also seized foreign currency in the form of Singapore dollars and US dollars.
Taufik said the KPK will still conduct further searches and seizures, so the amount of evidence secured could potentially increase.
“That will still increase because the investigation going forward, or during this detention period, there is still time for the investigation team to develop or deepen other facts to strengthen the construction of the case,” he said.
On 21 July 2026, the KPK announced the expansion of the case through the issuance of two investigation warrants.
