Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized Rp800 million handed over by Rosario de Marshal, known as Hercules (HRM), through his legal team.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the money was suspected to have been provided by PT Summarecon Agung (SMC) to Hercules to secure land in Bogor Regency.

“Investigators have seized Rp800 million handed over by the legal counsel of HRM. The money was given by PT SMC to HRM in connection with securing or managing PT SMC’s land in Bogor Regency,” Budi said at the KPK, as quoted on Friday (23 October 2026).

Budi said there was a dispute over Summarecon’s land. He said the dispute was suspected of prompting bribery to lift a block on a Right to Build (HGB) title involving officials at the Bogor Regency office of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

“There was initially a suspected dispute in this area because several residents claimed to hold land certificates covering part of the land managed by PT SMC. They then requested that the Bogor Land Office impose a block,” Budi explained.

SMC is then suspected of bribing officials at the ATR/BPN ministry to lift the block, allowing the HGB process to proceed, he said.

Budi said the money provided was suspected to be related to the management and security of the land.

“Yes, for managing the land, including securing it,” he said.

Budi also said Hercules’ return of the money demonstrated a cooperative stance and support for the KPK’s efforts to enforce the law in corruption cases.

“We view this as a demonstration of cooperation and support for the KPK in enforcing the law against corruption,” Budi said.

Budi said the handover would enable investigators to establish the facts of the suspected bribery case.

“Investigators will clarify the case, including which parties are suspected of being involved, and whether it is limited to those who have already been named as suspects or whether the investigation will be expanded,” he concluded.
