KPK Seizes Hundreds of Millions of Rupiah in Sting Operation Against West Lombok Regent

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash during a sting operation (OTT) against West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Monday that the money was secured as evidence. The West Lombok Regent is suspected of receiving the money in connection with the implementation of several projects within the West Lombok Regency Government, West Nusa Tenggara. During the operation, the KPK detained 19 individuals and brought seven of them to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta for further examination. As part of the investigation, the KPK has also sealed the Regent’s office and several other rooms within the West Lombok Regency Government complex.
