KPK Seizes Hundreds of Millions of Rupiah in Cash During Cilacap Operation

The KPK has disclosed the amount of evidence seized during an anti-corruption operation in Cilacap Regency, Central Java. The Commission stated that the seized cash amounts to hundreds of millions of rupiah.

“The cash secured during this arrest operation totals several hundred million rupiah,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Saturday (14/3/2026).

In addition to the cash, Budi stated that the KPK also seized other evidence, ranging from documents to electronic materials. Budi explained that these items will be further analysed by investigators.

“Other evidence secured during this arrest operation also includes documents and electronic records. These will naturally be opened and extracted to support the investigation of this case,” said Budi.

Previously, the KPK designated two individuals as suspects following the anti-corruption operation in Cilacap Regency, Central Java. This designation was made after 24-hour interrogation and sufficient evidence was found.

“In this afternoon’s disclosure, two individuals have been designated as suspects,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Saturday (14/3).

Budi has not yet detailed who the two designated suspects are. He stated that the two suspects’ identities would be revealed during a press conference to be held later that day.

“We will provide the full details at the press conference,” said Budi.

It is known that Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman was caught in a KPK anti-corruption operation the previous day. Regent Syamsul was caught alongside Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo revealed that Syamsul and Sadmoko are now in Jakarta. Both were brought to Jakarta along with 11 others.

“Thirteen individuals were brought to Jakarta in total. Those brought include the Regent, the Regional Secretary, and various structural officials within the Cilacap Regency Government,” said Budi to reporters on Saturday (14/3).

All 13 individuals arrived in Jakarta early that morning. Budi stated they are all currently undergoing intensive questioning at KPK’s Red and White building.

“Arrival at the KPK Red and White building was at approximately 02.35 WIB. Intensive questioning is currently underway,” said Budi.
