KPK Seizes Four Large Motorcycles and Gold in Bupati of Pemalang Extortion Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted searches at several locations in connection with an alleged extortion case implicating the Bupati of Pemalang, Anom Widiyantoro. The locations searched were in Jakarta, Pemalang, Kendal, and Purworejo.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that from 30 July to 1 August 2026, investigators carried out a series of searches to gather additional evidence required for the investigation into the alleged corruption and extortion case in Pemalang Regency. The searched locations included the homes and offices of the suspects, such as an apartment in Jakarta, the Public Works Department office, the Bupati of Pemalang’s office, and two houses belonging to Iptu Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto and his father, Lilik Budi Suprianto.
The KPK seized a number of items, including four large-capacity motorcycles (three from Pemalang and one from Purworejo), one car, cash in rupiah and foreign currencies, bank books, vehicle ownership documents, land and building ownership certificates, related documents, electronic evidence such as mobile phones and flash drives, and gold and precious metals from the Bupati of Pemalang’s official residence.
In this case, the KPK has named four suspects in the extortion case involving Bupati Anom Widiyantoro. One of the suspects is Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto, an administrative staff member at the KPK. Setya is suspected of providing information from the KPK to his father, Lilik Budi Suprianto, who then used the information to extort Anom. Consequently, Anom allegedly extorted his subordinates, collecting Rp 1.9 billion, of which Rp 1.2 billion was suspected to have been handed over to Lilik. The four suspects are Anom Widiyantoro, Mohamad Haris (a private party and confidant of the Bupati), Lilik Budi Suprianto, and Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto.
