Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) seized five motor vehicles at the Indonesian Ministry of Finance’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) headquarters on Thursday, 5 March 2025, as part of investigations into allegations of corruption in the import of goods within the DJBC. The seizure relates to suspected corruption in arranging import routes for goods entering Indonesia. “Earlier this week investigators seized five four-wheel vehicles that had been taken into DJBC Jakarta Central Office,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta. He said investigators suspect the five vehicles were obtained from corruption involving the arrangement of import routes. In addition, the KPK suspects the vehicles were used for operational activities and customs-related duties by the suspects. The KPK has named six suspects: Rizal, Director of Enforcement and Investigation, DJBC (P2 DJBC) for 2024–2026; Sisprian Subiaksono, Head of Sub-Directorate of Intelligence, P2 DJBC; and Orlando Hamonangan, Intelligence Section Chief, DJBC. Also named are John Field, owner of PT Blueray; Andri, Head of the Import Documentation Team at PT Blueray; and Dedy Kurniawan, Operational Manager at PT Blueray. Asep said John Field sought to have goods termed as ‘KW’ or counterfeit imported by his company PT Blueray not be inspected upon entry into Indonesia. “PT Blueray wanted the goods under its umbrella, imported from abroad, to bypass checks, so they could pass inspection at the customs authority easily,” Asep said at a press conference. From the DJBC side there were Sisprian Subiaksono (Kasubdit Intel P2 DJBC) and Orlando Hamonangan (Kasi Intel DJBC). From PT Blueray there were John Field (owner), Andri (Import Documentation Team), and Dedy Kurniawan (Operational Manager). “There was a conspiracy among ORL, SIS, and other parties with JF, AND, and DK to plan the import routes for goods to be brought into Indonesia,” Asep explained. According to the Ministry of Finance Regulation (Permenkeu), there are two categories of import routes in the service and supervision of imported goods to determine the level of examination before release from the customs area. All three are alleged to have violated Article 12B of Law No. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law No. 20 of 2021, in conjunction with Article 20 in conjunction with Article 21 of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, John Field, Andri, and Dedy Kurniawan, as the providers, are charged with violations of Article 605(1)(a) and (b) and Article 606(1) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.
