KPK Seizes Documents Related to Unsoed New Student Admissions Following Raids on Six Locations

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized a number of documents related to the ‘deposit’ system for prospective new students at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) following raids on six locations between 9 and 10 September 2026.

“Investigators found several documents and electronic evidence, including those related to the placement of prospective students at Unsoed,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

Budi stated that the raided locations included the residences of the Acting Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Noor Farid; the Acting Vice Rector for General and Financial Affairs, Prof. Kuat Puji Prayitno; and the Acting Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Public Relations, Prof. Waluyo Handoko.

Additionally, Budi noted that KPK investigators searched the home of a lecturer, the office of the Regional Secretary of Banyumas Regency, Agus Nur Hadie, and the home of a high school teacher in Tasikmalaya, West Java.

Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) involving several parties from the Unsoed Rectorate on 20 August 2026.

A day later, the KPK named the Rector of Unsoed, Prof. Akhmad Sodiq; the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Norman Arie Prayogo; the Head of Academic Affairs, Eko Sumanto; Mulyono, who is Sodiq’s nephew; as well as intermediaries Dian Mulia Wardhana and Adhi Wiharto, as suspects in a corruption case involving Unsoed’s new student admissions.

The KPK suspects that Norman, through Dian and Adhi, extorted the parents of prospective students for up to Rp650 million to secure admission to the Faculty of Medicine, though the students were ultimately not admitted.

Furthermore, the KPK alleges that Sodiq instructed his nephew to accept payments from prospective parents, totalling Rp680 million during the 2025–2026 period. The funds were allegedly used by Sodiq to purchase three plots of land, which were registered under Mulyono’s name.

Finally, the KPK suspects that Sodiq granted approval access to Eko after the Head of Academic Affairs received Rp1.12 billion from a middleman who is a teacher, during the 2025–2026 period.
