KPK Seizes Documents in Raid on Muara Enim Regent's Home and Office
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) raided four locations on Saturday related to an alleged bribery case in the procurement of goods and services within the Muara Enim Regency Government for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Investigators seized a number of documents relating to the procurement process. “From these activities, investigators discovered and seized a number of documents believed to be connected to the procurement process as well as parties involved in the case,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters in Jakarta.
Budi stated the four locations raided by the KPK were the office of the Muara Enim Regent, the Muara Enim Education and Culture Office, the official residence of the Muara Enim Regent, and the home of suspect Abi Nurwardani. “This search is an important investigative step to complete and strengthen the construction of evidence in the case,” he said. He stressed the raid demonstrates the KPK’s commitment to thoroughly tracing the flow of money, the roles of the parties, and other relevant aspects to optimise evidence for the subsequent law enforcement process.
The KPK previously named five people as suspects in a case of alleged bribery from the Muara Enim Regency Government to the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
