KPK Seizes Documents and Electronic Evidence from Official's Residence in Pati

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confiscated several documents and electronic evidence during a search of the residence of Riyoso, Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUTR) in Pati Regency. The search operation relates to the investigation of alleged extortion charges against inactive Pati Regent Sudewo.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the action was taken to strengthen the investigation process. “During the search, investigators secured documents and electronic evidence to support the investigation into this case,” Budi said in Jakarta on Friday, 27 February.

The search was conducted on 27 February 2026, taking into account Riyoso’s previous position as Acting Regional Secretary of Pati Regency.

The case originated from a KPK operation to catch Sudewo red-handed in Pati Regency on 19 January 2026. The day after, Sudewo and seven others were brought to KPK headquarters for examination.

In the alleged extortion case related to village official appointments, the KPK has named four suspects: Sudewo, Karangrowo Village Head Abdul Suyono, Arumanis Village Head Sumarjiono, and Sukorukun Village Head Karjan.

Additionally, Sudewo has also been named as a suspect in an alleged bribery case involving railway development and maintenance projects under the Directorate General of Railways at the Ministry of Transport.
