KPK Seizes 6 Items from Faizal Assegaf Related to Customs Corruption Case, Including Electronic Devices
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized six items from Faizal Assegaf, the President Director of PT Sinkos Multimedia Mandiri and a 1998 activist, related to the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC). KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that several of the seized items are electronic devices. “As far as I recall, there are six items seized from the individual. There are several electronic devices and according to the needs of the team, we plan to display the seized items tomorrow,” Budi said at the Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/4/2026). Budi added that Faizal has admitted to investigators regarding the receipt of items from the suspect in the alleged DJBC corruption case. Previously, the KPK examined three witnesses related to the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The three witnesses were Faizal Assegaf, as the President Director of PT Sinkos Multimedia Mandiri, and two DJBC employees named Muhammad Mahzun and Rahmat. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said that investigators delved into Faizal Assegaf’s alleged receipt of facilities from the suspect, who is also the Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (P2 DJBC) from 2024 to January 2026, Rizal. Budi stated that investigators explored the purpose of providing those facilities or items to the witness. “Naturally, in the examination, investigators delved into the intent, purpose, and background of suspect RZ providing items or facilities to the witness examined today,” he said.
