JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized six electronic items from Faizal Assegaf, the President Director of PT Sinkos Multimedia Mandiri and a 1998 activist, who is a witness in the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC).

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the six electronic items include a camera, monitor, and desktop computer.

“Items seized by investigators consist of electronic goods such as a monitor, camera, and several other electronic devices,” Budi said at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

“This seizure of items is part of the asset tracing or tracking process,” he added.

Budi explained that investigators have strong reasoning for seizing the electronic items.

He noted that the items are suspected to be related to the alleged corruption case involving DJBC officials.

“So, the proceeds from the alleged corruption offence can flow or take any form, and cross to various parties, which investigators are tracing as part of the series of investigation processes,” he said.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that some of the seized items are electronic devices.

“As far as I recall, there were six items seized from the individual. There are several electronic devices, and according to the needs of the team, we plan to display the seized items tomorrow,” Budi said at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

“Regarding the examination of the alleged receipt of goods or facilities by the individual (Faizal Assegaf), this has been admitted to the investigators by the individual, and the goods received by the individual have also been seized by the investigators,” he added.

The KPK examined three witnesses related to the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

The three witnesses are Faizal Assegaf, President Director of PT Sinkos Multimedia Mandiri, and two DJBC employees named Muhammad Mahzun and Rahmat.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said that regarding Faizal Assegaf, investigators delved into the alleged receipt of facilities from the suspect, who is also the Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (P2 DJBC) from 2024 to January 2026, Rizal.

“Regarding the examination of the witness, investigators delved into the alleged receipt of goods or facilities by the witness from one of the suspects in the Customs and Excise case, namely suspect RZ,” Budi said at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

“Of course, in the examination, investigators delved into the intent, purpose, and background of suspect RZ providing goods or facilities to the witness examined today,” he added.
