KPK Seizes 33 Vehicles in Sting Operation Involving Immigration Officials

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized 33 vehicles during a sting operation (OTT) involving several civil servants within the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services, including the Head of the West Jakarta Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office, Ronald Arman Abdullah.

“Seven cars, 15 motorcycles, and 11 bicycles,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday. Budi explained that the KPK has not yet been able to disclose the specific owners of these vehicles as investigations are still ongoing.

Previously, KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed the sting operation at the West Jakarta Class I Immigration Office. The KPK noted that this marks the 11th sting operation conducted in 2026 within the West Jakarta Immigration environment.

Since the operation commenced on Tuesday night (2/6), the KPK has detained dozens of individuals, including Ronald Arman Abdullah. As of Wednesday, investigative teams remain active in the field, including in Bali and West Java. In addition to the vehicles, the KPK also seized other evidence, including cash in US Dollars and Singapore Dollars, as well as precious metals.

Furthermore, the KPK secured two individuals in Bali related to alleged bribery involving immigration documents (KITAS/KITAP), which is suspected to be linked to the West Jakarta Immigration sting.

Despite the operation, the Directorate General of Immigration stated that all immigration services to the public continue to operate as usual. The Directorate General expressed respect for the KPK’s operation and ensured that services remain unaffected.
