Jakarta — The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has secured approximately IDR 10.9 billion from the auction of 15 seized assets during the March 2026 period.

“The total value of auctioned items that sold during the March 2026 period reached IDR 10.9 billion and will subsequently be deposited into the state treasury as part of efforts to optimise asset recovery and the recovery of state financial losses,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

Budi stated that the 15 sold lots comprised 11 moveable assets including vehicles, motorcycles, electronic equipment and various other items, as well as four immoveable assets in the form of land and buildings.

He said the KPK appreciates public participation during the March 2026 auction period, which offered 26 lots. Notably, 350 auction participants submitted bids before winners were determined on 11 March 2026.

“This enthusiasm demonstrates active public participation in supporting asset recovery from corruption offences so that these assets can be returned to benefit the state,” he said.

The KPK maintains these assets from the moment they are seized until they obtain permanent legal force, eventually allowing the assets to be returned to the state through the auction mechanism, Budi explained.

Additionally, the KPK has facilitated prospective auction participants to directly inspect the condition of items at its storage facility (Rupbasan KPK).

“Looking ahead, the KPK is preparing for the next phase of auctions planned for June 2026, whilst awaiting evaluation of several assets to ensure that the established reserve prices remain reasonable and comply with valuation standards,” he said.
