KPK Searches Two Locations in Bogor Regency, Documentary Evidence Seized

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted searches at two locations in Bogor Regency on Thursday, 27 August 2026.

The searches were carried out at the office of the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) and the office of the Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM).

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said that as a result of the searches, investigators secured documents suspected to be linked to the case currently being uncovered by the KPK.

“Investigators seized documents related to the alleged criminal act of corruption in the withholding of incentives for collecting regional taxes and regional levies,” he said.

The evidence has now been secured and will be examined further to uncover the case of alleged receipt by state officials in Bogor Regency.

“Investigators will conduct an analysis of the findings from the search,” he said.

Previously, the KPK had been carrying out investigative activities in the Bogor Regency area of West Java since the evening of Thursday, 20 August 2026.

Budi said the investigation related to alleged receipt by state officials, particularly at the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bapenda).

“The investigative activities carried out in the Bogor Regency area are related to receipt by state officials from the withholding of collection fees carried out at the Revenue Office in Bogor Regency,” he told reporters on Friday, 21 August 2026.

He also revealed that since Thursday evening, a case review had been held at leadership level and it was decided that the matter should proceed to the investigation stage.

However, the case is still using a general investigation warrant (sprindik), meaning no suspects have yet been named.

“But at present a general investigation warrant is still being used, meaning there has been no determination of suspects in the case,” he said.

As a result of the activities in Bogor, the KPK secured Rp1.5 billion in cash.
