KPK Searches Ono Surono's Home Over Suspected Funds from Suspect in Ade Kuswara Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed the reason for conducting a search at the home of PDIP politician Ono Surono in Bandung. The KPK stated that the search is related to suspicions of money received by Ono from one of the private suspects in the bribery case involving advance payments for a project that ensnared inactive Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang and Sarjan.
“Yes, including that (related to suspicions of money received by Ono from Sarjan),” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
Budi said that the results of the search will later be reconfirmed by investigators to Ono Surono. Therefore, Budi explained, investigators will obtain additional information to complete the case construction.
“So in the investigation process, investigators certainly need statements that can mutually confirm and complement each other, so that this becomes a complete construction, allowing investigators to later conclude the role of each party in the sequence of the Bekasi Regency project advance payment bribery case construction,” Budi stated.
Previously, the KPK announced that it was searching the home of Ono Surono (ONS) in Bandung. The search was carried out in connection with the investigation of the bribery case involving advance payments for a project that ensnared inactive Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK).
“In the continuation of the investigation into the alleged criminal corruption case related to bribery involving advance payments for a project in the Bekasi Regency Government environment, today Wednesday (1/4), investigators conducted a search at the home of Mr ONS, who is a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD, located in Bandung City,” explained KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Wednesday (1/4).
The KPK has not detailed the findings of evidence from the activity. Budi said the search at Ono Surono’s home is still ongoing at this time.
“The activity is still ongoing. We will update the developments,” said Budi.
It is known that Ono has previously been examined by the KPK in relation to this case. The KPK suspects that Ono received a flow of money from Sarjan, who has been designated as a suspect in this case.
“Examination of Mr OS in his capacity as a witness in this case, investigators delved into suspicions of money flows from the suspect Mr SRJ (Sarjan) as the private party,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Thursday (15/1).
The purpose of the money transfer from Sarjan to Ono is still being investigated. The KPK is also investigating whether there are other payments made by Sarjan to other parties.
“Well, investigators are delving into why this private party, as the project implementer in Bekasi Regency, then also gave a sum of money to Mr OS (Ono Surono),” he said.
In this case, the KPK has designated three individuals as suspects, namely:
Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang
Ade Kuswara’s father, HM Kunang
Private party, Sarjan
Ade and HM Kunang are suspected of receiving project advance payment money amounting to Rp 9.5 billion. KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, stated that the project was planned to be carried out in 2026. The money is said to be an advance for project guarantees.
