KPK Searches Multiple Locations in Kuansing Regent Bribery Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has searched a number of locations in the investigation of an alleged bribery and gratuity case linked to the release of a Limited Production Forest (HPT) area, which has ensnared Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regent for the 2025-2030 period, Suhardiman Amby. “It is true. Investigators are currently conducting searches at several locations,” KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said via written message on Monday (6/7). Budi stated that he would provide complete information once the forced measure is completed. “We will update on the locations and results later,” he said. The KPK has named Suhardiman, along with Kuansing Regional Secretary Zulkarnain and Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant (MIC) Ardiles, as suspects in the alleged bribery case. Suhardiman is also being processed for alleged other receipts related to the release of the Limited Production Forest area. The suspects are currently being detained for 20 days until 20 July 2026 at the KPK Red and White Building Detention Centre. Suhardiman, as the recipient, is charged under Article 12 letter a or letter b and/or Article 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law. Meanwhile, Zulkarnain and Ardiles, as the givers, are charged with violating Article 605 or Article 606 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code.
