The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is continuing to develop its investigation into a corruption case implicating the Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Suhardiman Amby. After naming several suspects, investigators have now conducted searches at a number of locations to collect evidence. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed the ongoing searches but declined to specify the targeted locations or the evidence seized. β€œIt is true, investigators are currently conducting searches at several locations,” Budi stated on Monday (6/7/2026). He added that details regarding the locations and any findings would be provided once the operation is complete.

The KPK previously named Suhardiman Amby, along with Kuantan Singingi Regional Secretary Zulkarnain and President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant (MIC) Ardiles, as suspects. The case stems from an alleged bribery scheme involving the procurement of the Regional Secretary position within the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government. The Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, explained that Suhardiman allegedly demanded a luxury vehicle as a condition for Zulkarnain to obtain the position. The vehicle in question is a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S, valued at approximately IDR 2.55 billion, which was reportedly acquired through a five-year credit facility with monthly instalments of IDR 46.5 million.
