The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the private home of former Acting Mayor of Bengkulu Arif Gunadi in Gading Cempaka District, Bengkulu City, on Wednesday evening. Gunadi currently serves as the Head of the Food Security Office of Bengkulu Province. During the search, which lasted for five hours, KPK investigators removed four suitcases and one cardboard box. Sugeng Suharto, the head of the local neighbourhood association, confirmed the operation, stating that the items taken contained documents and that the search was witnessed directly by Arif Gunadi and his wife. The seized items were subsequently transported by KPK investigators to Jakarta. This search is part of an ongoing investigation into suspected corruption involving state officials within the Bengkulu City Government. Earlier, on Monday, the KPK examined Noprisman, the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Bengkulu City, following a search of his home in July 2026 where Rp4 billion in cash was confiscated.
