KPK Searches Home of Bengkulu DPRD Member, Seizes Documents and Electronic Evidence
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted a series of searches in Bengkulu in connection with an alleged corruption case involving the suspended Rejang Lebong Regent, M Fikri Thobari. At least four locations were searched by the KPK.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the searches were carried out on Wednesday (12/8/2026) and Thursday (13/8). One of the locations searched was the home of Bengkulu City DPRD member Vinna Leddy Anggraheny.
“The four locations are the homes of two civil servants from the Bengkulu City Public Works and Public Housing Agency (PUPR), the home of a Bengkulu City DPRD member, and a private party,” Budi said in a written statement on Sunday (16/8).
The KPK also seized documents and electronic evidence related to the case. In addition to the searches, the KPK conducted a series of witness examinations in Bengkulu.
“From the search results, investigators seized documents and electronic items suspected to be related to the case,” he said.
The KPK has issued a general investigation order (sprindik) to develop the case involving M Fikri. However, no new suspects have been announced.
“General sprindik,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Monday (20/7).
Regent Fikri is suspected of receiving a total of Rp 1.7 billion in bribes from several projects. The case began when the Rejang Lebong Regency Government was about to undertake a number of projects in early 2026.
Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, explained that the projects were under the Rejang Lebong Regency PUPRPKP Agency. Asep said the total project budget at the Rejang Lebong Regency PUPRPKP Agency reached Rp 91.13 billion.
Asep said the Rp 980 million project bribe was given in stages through an intermediary. In addition, Asep said the value of the project bribes from the three parties varied.
Asep said there were allegations of other receipts to Fikri amounting to Rp 775 million. He suspected the acts were committed repeatedly.
