The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted another search in Bogor Regency on Friday, 28 August 2026, this time targeting the Education Department (Disdik).

“Investigators have again carried out search activities. Investigators searched the office of the Bogor Regency Education Department,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Friday, 28 August 2026.

From this search, the KPK secured documents relating to procurement at the Education Department. The documents have been taken for further examination to shed light on the alleged receipt of payments by state officials.

“Investigators will examine, analyse, and confirm every finding from the search activity against other evidence, to help make the case clear,” he said.

It was previously reported that the KPK conducted searches at two locations in Bogor Regency on Thursday, 27 August 2026. The searches were carried out at the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) office and the Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) office.

Budi said that as a result of those searches, investigators secured documents suspected to be related to the case being uncovered by the KPK.

“Investigators seized documents related to the alleged criminal act of corruption in the deduction of regional tax and regional levy collection incentives,” he said.

The evidence is currently being secured and will be examined further to uncover the case of alleged receipt of payments by state officials in Bogor Regency.

“Investigators will conduct an examination of the findings from the search,” he said.

For context, the KPK has been conducting investigative activities in the Bogor Regency area of West Java since Thursday evening, 20 August 2026.

Budi said the investigation relates to alleged receipt of payments by state officials, particularly at the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bapenda).

“The investigative activities carried out in the Bogor Regency area relate to payments received by state officials from deductions of collection fees carried out at the Revenue Department in Bogor Regency,” he told journalists on Friday, 21 August 2026.

He also revealed that since Thursday evening, a case review had been held at leadership level and it was decided that the matter should proceed to the investigation stage.

However, the case is still using a general investigation warrant (sprindik umum), so no suspects have yet been named.
