KPK Searches Again the Home of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono, This Time in Indramayu

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) once again conducted a search at the home of the Deputy Chairman of the West Java DPRD, Ono Surono, on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Today’s search was carried out at Ono’s residence located in Indramayu, West Java.

“And today, Thursday (2/4), investigators continued the search activity at the home of ONS located in Indramayu,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Thursday.

However, Budi has not yet provided further details regarding the search.

The KPK usually provides information after the search activity is completed.

The search is related to the alleged bribery case involving advance payments for projects in Bekasi Regency, which implicates the suspended Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

“Today Wednesday (1/4), investigators conducted a search at the home of ONS (Ono Surono), who is a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD, located in Bandung City,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Wednesday.

From that search, the KPK seized evidence in the form of cash worth hundreds of millions, documents, and electronic evidence (BBE).

Budi stated that the search activity was witnessed by his wife, family members, and local officials.

He assured that the search was carried out in accordance with procedures, namely Article 34 of Law No. 8 of 1981 on Criminal Procedure Law, as amended by Article 113 paragraph 4 of Law No. 20 of 2025 on the Criminal Procedure Code.

“We emphasise that it was carried out in accordance with procedures. The investigators have shown their investigation administration,” he said.
