KPK Schedules Questioning of Four Customs Officials in Semarang in Blueray Corruption Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the questioning of four civil servants from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise today, Monday (25 May), in a case involving alleged bribery and gratification related to importation of goods, which implicates PT Blueray and several Customs officials. The individuals to be questioned as witnesses are mostly serving at the Semarang Customs office, named Khanan, Budi Winanto, Sutopo, and Aditya Rahman Rony Putra. “The questioning will take place at the KPK’s Merah Putih building,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Monday (25 May). Additionally, the KPK has summoned two private sector witnesses for questioning today, named Dana and Ign Denny Narendra. The questioning aims to complete the case file for seven suspects already named by the KPK in the alleged bribery and gratification case involving importation of goods. They are Rizal, former Director of Investigation and Enforcement at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the 2024-January 2026 period; Sisprian Subiaksono, Head of the Intelligence, Enforcement and Investigation Subdirectorate (Kasubdit Intel P2 DJBC) at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Then Orlando, Chief of Intelligence Section at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasi Intel DJBC); Andri, Head of PT Blueray’s Import Documentation Team; Budiman Bayu Prasojo, a Customs Directorate General employee; John Field, owner of PT Blueray; and Dedy Kurniawan, Operational Manager of PT Blueray. The suspects have been detained at the KPK’s National Detention Centre (Rutan). As for PT Blueray, they are currently facing trial at the Corruption Crimes Court (Tipikor) of the Central Jakarta District Court. During the ongoing trial, it was revealed that the Directorate General of Customs and Excise Director Djaka Budhi Utama allegedly received money on six occasions. One amount disclosed by KPK prosecutors is US$213,600 in the first month.
