KPK Schedules Examination of Forwarders Other Than Blueray Cargo

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled examinations of parties involved as freight forwarders or providers of import goods delivery services other than PT Blueray Cargo (BR) in the case of alleged bribery and gratifications within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance. “In addition to BR, we are also summoning several other forwarders,” stated KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Monday (30/3). Asep revealed that a number of forwarders summoned in the investigation of the case are initialled N, AM, up to MS. Nevertheless, he could not yet provide further information regarding when these parties would be called. Previously, on 4 February 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance. On the same date, the KPK announced that one of those arrested in the OTT was Rizal, Head of the West Sumatra Regional Customs Office. On 5 February 2026, the KPK announced that six out of 17 people arrested were subsequently designated as suspects in the alleged bribery and gratifications case related to the importation of counterfeit or imitation goods within Customs and Excise. They are Rizal (RZL) as Director of Enforcement and Investigation of Customs and Excise for the period 2024-January 2026, Sisprian Subiaksono (SIS) as Head of the Subdirectorate of Enforcement and Investigation Intelligence of Customs and Excise, and Orlando Hamonangan (ORL) as Head of the Customs Intelligence Section. Furthermore, John Field (JF), owner of Blueray Cargo, Andri (AND), Chairman of Blueray Cargo’s Import Documentation Team, and Dedy Kurniawan (DK), Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo. On 26 February 2026, the KPK announced Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP), Head of the Excise Intelligence Section of the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation of Customs and Excise, as a new suspect in the case. On 27 February 2026, the KPK announced that it was delving deeper into allegations of corruption in excise management. This deepening was conducted particularly after the seizure of Rp5.19 billion in five suitcases from a safe house in Ciputat, South Tangerang, Banten, which is suspected to originate from customs and excise.
