Banten, Kompas.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is pushing for comprehensive benchmarks to assess the success of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. “At minimum, it should be designed for the short-term what should be achieved, the medium-term what should be achieved, and the long-term what should be achieved,” said Aminudin, Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring at the KPK, at a Media Briefing in Anyer, Banten, on Thursday (21 May 2026).

Aminudin said the benchmarks are needed after KPK conducted a study related to the programme administered by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

“From our study, it is not yet visible. What is the impact? The accountability of the programme is very weak because there is no benchmark of success that can be verified by the public, including by the KPK — that is what we found from the study we conducted,” he said.

Furthermore, Aminudin said, the success of MBG should be viewed in terms of stunting prevention, not by how many MBG recipients there are.
