KPK Says State Losses in Pertamina SPBU Digitalisation Case Reach Rp322.18 Billion

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has stated that the state suffered losses of at least Rp322.18 billion due to alleged corruption in the procurement for the digitalisation of PT Pertamina’s petrol stations (SPBU) from 2018 to 2023. KPK Acting Director of Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein explained that the figure was based on a calculation of state financial losses conducted by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). The losses resulted from a multi-layered procurement chain involving three to five tiers, as well as marked-up prices. Specifically, the procurement of automatic tank gauge (ATG) monitoring systems caused losses of Rp193.75 billion, while the procurement of electronic data capture (EDC) machines, which were later modified and did not meet specifications, resulted in losses of Rp128.42 billion. The KPK has been investigating the case since September 2024 and has named several suspects. On 4 August 2026, the KPK detained three suspects: Elvizar (ER), a director of PT Pasifik Cipta Solusi; DR, a former director of enterprise and business service at a state-owned telecommunications company from 2017 to 2019; and WER, a former senior general manager of strategic sourcing operation procurement at the same state-owned telecommunications company from 2012 to 2020.
