KPK Says Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq, Assisted by Her Son, Intervened with Department Heads
Jakarta, VIVA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq (FAR), assisted by her son who is also a member of the Pekalongan Regency DPRD, Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff (MSA), of intervening with department heads within the Pekalongan Regency Government in Central Java.
‘FAR, through MSA and her trusted aides, is suspected of intervening with the heads of departments to win outsourcing services contracts for PT RNB (Raja Nusantara Berdaya),’ said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Prosecution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the Red and White Building, KPK, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Additionally, KPK suspects Fadia Arafiq of intervening with officials at the regional general hospital and down to sub-district officials to secure PT RNB, a family-owned company of the two-term Pekalongan Regent.
Therefore, the KPK says Fadia Arafiq was involved in a conflict of interest that ultimately led to her designation as a suspect in an alleged corruption offence.
Earlier, on 3 March 2026, KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq together with her aide and trusted people in the Semarang area, Central Java.
Subsequently, KPK announced the arrest of 11 other people from Pekalongan, Central Java.
On 4 March 2026, KPK named Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in a case relating to the procurement of outsourcing services or third-party manpower, and other procurements within the Pekalongan Government in the 2023-2026 budget year.
