JAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that the sting operation carried out on 14 September 2026 in Bogor concerned the processing of Building Use Rights (Hak Guna Bangunan, or HGB). The KPK is still intensively examining the parties who were caught in the operation.

“In this hand-catch operation, the team secured a total of 17 people,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters in the early hours of Tuesday (15/9/2026).
Budi explained that the sting operation at the Bogor Regency Land Office was suspected of involving the HGB processing as well as other payments.
“It is suspected to be related to the process of obtaining HGB, Building Use Rights, in Bogor Regency, and also linked to alleged other payments,” said Budi.
The KPK detected irregularities in the land title processing for the Summarecon project.
“In Bogor Regency, the party involved is (the developer) Summarecon,” Budi continued.
Nevertheless, the KPK has not yet provided further details on the case, especially as it is still examining those caught in the operation around the clock.
“We will convey the details later regarding the parties secured in this hand-catch operation,” said Budi.
It is understood that the KPK seized cash worth hundreds of billions of rupiah stored in twenty bags. The KPK has 24 hours to determine the status of the people apprehended in the sting operation.
