KPK sacrifices 8 cows for Eid al-Adha 2026

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out the sacrifice of eight cows as part of the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebrations at the KPK’s Juang Building in Jakarta on Friday, 29 May 2026.

‘For this year’s sacrifice, eight cows were contributed by 33 donors, including KPK leadership and staff who collectively participated in the religious ritual,’ said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Friday.

‘The distribution is intended for communities supporting KPK activities in the surrounding area, including cleaning staff, security personnel, and journalists who have long been part of the KPK family,’ he added.

He stated that these values align with the integrity culture being fostered within the KPK, promoting social welfare and compassion within community life.

‘The KPK hopes that the Eid al-Adha occasion will further strengthen communal bonds, reinforce the spirit of mutual cooperation, and cultivate a culture of sharing within society,’ he said.
