PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PELNI) received a visit from the Directorate of Anti-Corruption for Business Entities (AKBU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) aboard the KM Kelud, which was docked at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on Friday (24/7). The activity was part of KPK’s supervision to strengthen the governance of fuel oil (BBM) usage, particularly in the implementation of the Public Service Obligation (PSO) carried out by PELNI. The visit was led by Anti-Corruption Crime Analyst from the KPK’s AKBU Directorate, Jeji Azizi, and accompanied by the Captain of KM Kelud, Capt. Alamsyah, Head of PELNI Jakarta Branch, Muhammad Ardiansyah, PELNI’s Vice President of Legal, Agustinus Prima Wicaksono, and PELNI’s Vice President of Fuel, Romadhoni. This activity was a follow-up to the socialisation and technical guidance on the PANCEK (Corruption Prevention Guide) application previously conducted between the KPK and PELNI. During the visit, the KPK team directly reviewed the fuel bunkering process on the ship to ensure conformity between field implementation and standard operating procedures (SOP) as well as supporting documents that are part of the company’s control system. In addition, the KPK provided several inputs, including strengthening information integration, increasing the digitalisation of business processes, and improving the supervision system to minimise the potential for irregularities. PELNI’s Corporate Secretary, Ditto Pappilanda, stated that PELNI welcomed the supervision carried out by the KPK as part of efforts to strengthen transparent, accountable, and integrity-driven corporate governance. ‘PELNI views this supervision as a positive step to continue strengthening the internal control system, especially in the management of fuel, which is one of the company’s largest operational cost components. Input from the KPK is an important part of improving governance to be more transparent, accountable, and in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance,’ said Ditto, quoted from a written statement on Monday (27/7/2026). Ditto added that in the future, PELNI will develop a digital-based fuel usage monitoring system to improve monitoring accuracy, data transparency, and operational control effectiveness. ‘We will strengthen the digitalisation of fuel management, including developing a digital monitoring system for ship fuel usage so that the recording, monitoring, and supervision processes can be carried out more accountably. This step is part of PELNI’s commitment to building increasingly transparent governance,’ Ditto added. The company is committed to continuing to synergise with the KPK and other stakeholders in strengthening the corruption prevention system through business process improvements and technology utilisation. ‘PELNI will continue to open collaboration space with the KPK in supporting various corruption prevention efforts, including through strengthening digitalisation, system integration, and improving supervision mechanisms. Thus, every operational process can run more effectively, efficiently, and have a high level of accountability,’ Ditto added. He emphasised that, in this regard, PELNI is ready to support every supervision and evaluation process carried out by the KPK as part of efforts to strengthen corporate governance. PELNI is committed to continuously improving transparency, accountability, and supervision through business process improvements and technology utilisation to achieve more effective, efficient, and integrity-driven operational management.
