KPK Reveals Sting Operation Against Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq Over Outsourcing Procurement Corruption

Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detailed that the sting operation against Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq concerns the outsourcing procurement or daya tenaga in the Pekalongan Regency Government, Central Java. ‘One of the items relates to the procurement of goods and services in the form of outsourcing in the Pekalongan regional government. So, this is believed to be present in several departments,’ KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said at the Juang Building of KPK, Jakarta, on Tuesday. Further, Budi explained that KPK suspects there was arrangement in the procurement of human resources. ‘A number of procurements carried out in the departments within the Pekalongan Regency Government are suspected to have been arranged or conditioned, so that certain vendors or companies could enter and win,’ he said. KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the individuals arrested in the OTT in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Previously, KPK began its first OTT in 2026 by arresting eight people during 9-10 January 2026. This arrest concerns alleged bribes in tax inspections at the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office within the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance, for the 2021-2026 period.
