KPK reveals origin of Rp1.5 billion in Bogor Regency Government case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that the Rp1.5 billion seized in a suspected corruption case within the Bogor Regency Government is believed to have come from deductions to employee incentives at the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda).
“This Rp1.5 billion is suspected to be money deducted from incentives that should have been the right of employees within Bappenda,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Monday.
Budi explained that civil servants (ASN) at Bappenda Bogor Regency were legally entitled to receive these incentives.
However, according to him, the incentives were allegedly not received in full by employees because they were deducted by certain parties within the Bogor Regency Government.
“The incentives received by employees were then allegedly subject to deductions carried out by certain individuals within the Bogor Regency Government,” he said.
The KPK is currently investigating the reasons for these deductions as well as the parties suspected of involvement.
“The incentives should have been received in full by employees within Bappenda. However, because of these deductions, the incentives received were not 100 percent,” said Budi.
The KPK previously seized Rp1.5 billion in an investigation into suspected corruption within the Bogor Regency Government on 21 August 2026.
The investigation was subsequently elevated to the inquiry stage through the issuance of a general investigation warrant (sprindik) related to alleged receipt of money by state officials in the Bogor Regency Government.
The receipt of money is suspected to have originated from deductions to employee incentives at Bappenda Bogor Regency.
In the investigation under the general sprindik, the KPK has not yet named any party as a suspect.
On Thursday (27/8), the KPK searched the offices of Bappenda and the Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Bogor Regency.
In addition to this case, the KPK is also investigating alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services at the Bogor Regency Education Office.
