KPK reveals identities of three other suspects besides Muara Enim Regent Edison

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed the identities of three suspects in an alleged bribery case related to procurement within the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra, in addition to Muara Enim Regent Edison. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the three other suspects are Abi Nurwardani, Secretary of the Muara Enim Education and Culture Office; Adi Triyadi, Edison’s nephew; and Cory Erin Hardi, a marketing employee at PT Millenium Solusi Abadi. ‘Correct,’ Budi stated when confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday. Meanwhile, based on observations by reporters on the ground, the four suspects have appeared before the public wearing orange KPK vests. In the first group, only Cory Erin appeared before the public and walked to the detention vehicle. In the second group, Edison, Abi Nurwardani, and Adi Triyadi emerged simultaneously from the KPK’s Merah Putih Building towards the detention vehicle. However, Edison did not show much expression when questioned by journalists who had been waiting for him since Tuesday morning. Previously, on Monday (8/6), the KPK announced the arrest of ten people in a sting operation (OTT) in South Sumatra and Jakarta, consisting of five elements from the Muara Enim Regency Government and five from the private sector. The KPK also announced that one of the ten individuals arrested was Muara Enim Regent Edison. Edison was arrested in South Sumatra and brought by the KPK to Jakarta on Tuesday (9/6). This sting operation was the 12th conducted by the KPK during 2026. On Tuesday (9/6), the KPK announced that Edison was one of four individuals named as suspects in an alleged bribery case related to procurement within the Muara Enim Regency Government. Additionally, the KPK announced the seizure of evidence worth Rp2 billion, consisting of cash in rupiah, dollars, and riyals, as well as several account balances.
