KPK Reveals Fake Employee Who Extorted Sahroni Has Acted Multiple Times Against DPR
From initial information we received, the incident last night or whatever, involving individuals pretending to be KPK employees who can arrange cases, this is not the first time the person has done this,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (10/4/2026). Regarding further information, we are still awaiting police examination after the four individuals were secured. This case is being handled by Metro Jaya Police. “So we will wait for the examination process there, what the results are like, we all respect it, we wait,” he said. Budi advised the public to report if they experience similar incidents, namely parties claiming to be from KPK and demanding money. Reports can be made to the police or directly to KPK. “Therefore, if the public knows of parties claiming they can handle cases at KPK, please report directly to KPK, via the KPK Call Center at 198, or report to local law enforcement,” he stated. Previously, four fake KPK employees suspected of extorting a DPR member of Rp 300 million were arrested. The DPR member allegedly extorted is Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni. “True (the victim is Ahmad Sahroni),” said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, when asked for confirmation whether the victim is indeed Ahmad Sahroni, on Friday (10/4/2026). Sahroni reported to Metro Jaya Police on Thursday (9/4) night after claiming to have been extorted. Police coordinated with KPK and succeeded in arresting the perpetrators. “Yes, this is still being investigated further. We convey that we have received one police report and this will still be investigated whether it is related to the report or the alleged unity earlier,” he said. Sahroni also confirmed that he reported the alleged extortion. “Absolutely true,” said Sahroni when asked for confirmation.
