The latest State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) released by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2025 reveals details of assets owned by the inactive Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Silmy Karim. In the report, Silmy is recorded as having significant wealth dominated by property assets in the South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas.

Based on Silmy Karim’s LHKPN data accessed on Thursday, 4 June 2026, the total value of land and buildings owned by Silmy reaches Rp184,024,640,000. These assets are spread across 11 locations, with details of eight assets located in South Jakarta and three assets in East Jakarta.

Although the LHKPN does not specify the exact addresses, the land and building areas owned by Silmy in South Jakarta are recorded as very diverse, ranging from the smallest at 23 square metres to the largest at 1,860 square metres. The asset values in this area range from Rp4.3 billion to the highest reaching Rp31.9 billion.

Besides property, Silmy also reported ownership of transportation vehicles and machinery worth a total of Rp8,475,000,000. His vehicle collection includes a 2023 Toyota Vellfire, a 2022 Toyota Vellfire, a 2022 Toyota Alphard, a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 Coupe, a 2017 Mercedes-Benz E200 Coupe, a 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, a 2014 Honda Jazz, and a 2022 Mini Cooper.

Accumulatively, Silmy Karim possesses other movable assets worth Rp11.39 billion, securities amounting to Rp8.69 billion, and cash and cash equivalents of Rp31 billion. After deducting debts of Rp8,995,522,634, Silmy Karim’s total wealth reaches Rp234,596,795,910.

Silmy Karim is currently inactive after being named a suspect by the KPK in a case of alleged extortion in immigration processing for foreign nationals. He is suspected of receiving money from extortion while serving as Director General of Immigration from January 2023 to October 2024.

KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto explained that this case is a development from a closed investigation related to the plan for using foreign workers (RPTKA) at the Ministry of Manpower, which has been handled since 2025. “This investigation activity stemmed from the follow-up to the case at the Ministry of Manpower,” said Setyo at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Jakarta.
