KPK Reschedules Rudy Tanoe's Examination to 11 August
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has rescheduled the examination of PT Dosni Roha Logistik (DNRL) President Commissioner Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo to Tuesday, 11 August 2026. Rudy Tanoe will be questioned as a witness in a case of alleged corruption concerning the distribution of social assistance rice for Beneficiary Families (KPM) under the Family Hope Programme (PKH) for the 2020 Fiscal Year.
"That is correct, the person concerned requested a rescheduling of his examination to 11 August 2026," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when contacted via written message on Monday (10/8). Budi is confident that Rudy Tanoe will attend the examination according to the schedule he proposed. Through his legal counsel, Ricky HP Sitohang, Rudy Tanoe was unable to attend the initial summons on Thursday, 6 August 2026, due to a medical examination. Ricky stressed that his client had no intention of evading or failing to comply with the KPK summons.
He explained that his party received the KPK summons letter on Tuesday, 4 August, in the afternoon. The letter requested Rudy Tanoe’s presence as a witness for examination on Thursday. Following up on the letter, the legal team immediately visited the KPK office on Wednesday, 5 August, in the morning, bringing an official letter requesting a postponement of the examination and proposing a new schedule. "In principle, we will always be cooperative and continue to respect and comply with the applicable legal procedures," Ricky said in a statement quoted on Monday (10/8).
Previously, in February, the KPK requested the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent Rudy Tanoe from travelling abroad for six months. This is the second such travel ban. The extension of the travel ban also applies to two other suspects in the alleged rice social assistance corruption case, namely Edi Suharto, an Expert Staff to the Minister of Social Affairs for Change and Social Dynamics, Director General of Social Empowerment (2023-present), and Kanisius Jerry Tengker, President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistik. Another individual who was previously subject to a travel ban during the first six-month period, Herry Tho (Director of Operations at PT Dosni Roha Logistik since 2021/Finance Manager at PT Dosni Roha), is now free to travel. Herry Tho remains a witness.
Under the provisions of the new Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), travel bans only apply to suspects. This provision drew protests from the KPK during the discussion phase of the KUHAP. Meanwhile, on Monday, 15 December 2025, a sole judge at the South Jakarta District Court, Lukman Ahmad, rejected Rudy Tanoe’s pre-trial motion. The KPK has named a total of three individuals and two corporations as suspects in the alleged corruption case involving the distribution of social assistance rice, which implicates the Ministry of Social Affairs and PT Dosni Roha Logistik. The KPK has not yet disclosed the detailed identities of the suspects. However, Rudy Tanoe and Edi Suharto have declared themselves as suspects through the pre-trial motions they filed.
