KPK Reschedules Nusron Wahid’s Questioning for This Week
JAKARTA — Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled another examination this week of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister and National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) head Nusron Wahid. He did not attend the first summons last week, citing an internal ATR/BPN ministry engagement.
The KPK will seek information from Nusron in an alleged corruption case involving the processing of building-use rights (HGB) at the ATR/BPN Ministry. “As for Mr NW (Nusron Wahid), in his capacity as ATR/BPN Minister, investigators have rescheduled his examination for this week,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters on Tuesday (13 October 2026).
The KPK confirmed that investigators had sent Nusron a summons and urged him to make time to comply.
“We are confident that, when the time comes, he will attend cooperatively, comply with the investigators’ summons and provide the information required,” Budi said.
Nusron is being summoned as a witness in the case. The KPK said it believes his testimony will help uncover the alleged corruption at the ATR/BPN Ministry.
“This will allow the handling of the case at ATR/BPN to make positive progress, and, of course, we all hope for an effective law-enforcement process,” Budi said.
Earlier, KPK Acting Director of Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein said investigators would trace how the money was intended to be used, including information about alleged spending on organisational activities. The KPK said alleged use of the funds for organisational activities or Nusron Wahid’s personal interests was also part of the investigation.
Separately, the KPK seized Rp106.3 billion in cash, in rupiah and foreign currencies, as evidence in an alleged bribery case involving the processing of HGB at the Bogor Regency Land Office in West Java. Eight people have been named as suspects. The evidence was seized during a series of sting operations on 14 September.
The KPK announced the eight suspects after finding sufficient evidence. They are ATR/BPN Ministry Director-General Lampri (LMP), Sontang Coin Manurung (SON), Adrianto Pitoyo Adi (ADR), Arif Sugiyanto (ARF), Fahd El Fouz (FEZ), Rizal Pahlevi (LEV), Erwin (ERW) and Muhammad Fakhry (MF).
The alleged bribe-givers (ADR and LEV) are suspected of violating Article 605(1)(a) or (b), or Article 606(1) of the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Law No. 1/2026 and Article 20 of the Criminal Code. The alleged recipients (SON, ERW, LMP, ARF, FEZ and MF) face charges under Article 12(a) or (b) and/or Article 12B of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption, or Article 606(2) of the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Law No. 1/2026 and Article 20 of the Criminal Code.
