KPK Reminds Rudy Tanoe to Be Cooperative After Second No-Show
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has reminded PT Dosni Roha Logistik President Director Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo to be cooperative after he again failed to appear for questioning today. “The witness, referred to as RBT [Rudy Tanoe], did not attend the scheduled examination and has requested a rescheduling,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Thursday evening. “On this occasion, the KPK urges the witness to be cooperative regarding the summons or the next examination schedule. This repeated rescheduling should not be allowed to delay the investigation process.”
Budi explained that Rudy Tanoe’s testimony is crucial to building a complete picture of the alleged corruption case involving the distribution of social assistance rice for Beneficiary Families under the 2020 Family Hope Programme. “The testimony of every party summoned is needed by investigators to complete the case file, including to understand the full construction of the case and the roles of each party, both the suspects and others suspected of playing a crucial role in the case,” he stated.
Previously, in February, the KPK requested the Directorate General of Immigration to impose a travel ban on Rudy Tanoe for six months, marking the second such ban. The extended travel ban also applies to two other suspects in the case: Edi Suharto, an Expert Staff member to the Minister of Social Affairs for Change and Social Dynamics and Director General of Social Empowerment, and Kanisius Jerry Tengker, President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistik. Another individual, Herry Tho, Operational Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistik, was previously banned from travelling abroad during the first six-month period but is now free to travel and remains a witness. Under the new Criminal Procedure Code, travel bans only apply to suspects, a provision the KPK protested during the bill’s deliberation. Meanwhile, on Monday, 15 December 2025, a sole judge at the South Jakarta District Court rejected a pre-trial motion filed by Rudy Tanoe. The KPK has named a total of three individuals and two corporations as suspects in the alleged corruption case involving the Ministry of Social Affairs and PT Dosni Roha Logistik, though it has yet to formally disclose the identities of all suspects. Rudy Tanoe and Edi Suharto have, however, declared themselves as suspects through their pre-trial motions.
