Jakarta — Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has reaffirmed that official vehicles cannot be used for personal purposes, including holiday travel or family trips.

The directive was issued through Circular Letter No. 2 of 2026 on the Control and Prevention of Eid Gratification.

The KPK emphasised that using state facilities for personal gain constitutes a conflict of interest that undermines accountability principles.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that official vehicles in question include State-Owned Goods (BMN), Regionally-Owned Goods (BMD), and vehicles hired for the operational needs of ministries, agencies, or local governments.

Budi clarified that the use of official vehicles must comply with their intended purpose and cannot be utilised for personal interest.

Using official vehicles outside of official duties, he said, does not merely reflect misuse of state facilities.

“Rather, it also has the potential to create conflicts of interest and undermine principles of accountability in the management of state assets,” Budi stated.

As a follow-up measure, the KPK has urged leaders of ministries, agencies, local governments, state-owned enterprises, and other state institutions to take proactive steps in internal control.

This includes monitoring the use of official facilities during the Eid holiday period.

The KPK also reminded that strengthening internal oversight and compliance with regulations governing the use of state facilities is an important part of maintaining public trust and ensuring clean and integrity-based governance.

The KPK provides reporting services through its website https://jaga.id, consultation via WhatsApp +62811145575, or by contacting the KPK’s Public Information Service at telephone number 198.

Reports of receiving or refusing gratification can also be submitted through the Online Gratification Application (GOL) at https://gol.kpk.go.id or via email pelaporan.gratifikasi@kpk.go.id.
