KPK Remands Rejang Lebong Regent and Four Other Suspects Until 30 March
Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has remanded Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari and four other suspects in an alleged bribery case involving the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu until 30 March 2026.
The four other suspects are Harry Eko Purnomo (HEP), Head of the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas for Rejang Lebong; Irsyad Satria Budiman (IRS), a private sector representative from PT Statika Mitra Sarana; Edi Manggala (EDM), a private sector representative from CV Manggala Utama; and Youki Yusdiantoro (YK), a private sector representative from CV Alpagker Abadi.
“The KPK will remand the suspects for the first 20 days, or from today until 30 March 2026. The remand will be held at the KPK’s Red-White Building branch of the State Detention Centre,” said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu at KPK headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Asep explained that the KPK remanded all five suspects following a hand-to-hand operation (OTT) conducted on 9 March 2026, based on sufficient evidence regarding allegations of advance payment bribes on projects within the Rejang Lebong District Government.
Thobari and Harry Eko, as the alleged bribe recipients, are charged with violating Article 12 (a) or (b) and/or 12B of Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, read together with Article 20 (c) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).
Irsyad Satria, Edi Manggala and Youki Yusdiantoro, as the alleged bribe givers, are charged with violating Article 605 or Article 606 (1) of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Sanctions Adjustment.
Previously, on 9 March 2026, the KPK apprehended Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari, Deputy Regent Hendri, and 11 others in a hand-to-hand operation regarding alleged project bribes within the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu.
On 10 March 2026, the KPK brought the Regent and Deputy Regent of Rejang Lebong along with seven others to Jakarta for intensive questioning.
On the same date, the KPK also announced Muhammad Fikri Thobari as one of five suspects in the alleged corruption case involving bribery.
The KPK announced the identities of the suspects on 11 March 2026, namely Muhammad Fikri Thobari (MFT), Head of the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas for Rejang Lebong Harry Eko Purnomo (HEP), Irsyad Satria Budiman (IRS) from PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala (EDM) from CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yusdiantoro (YK) from CV Alpagker Abadi.
They are suspects in allegations of advance payment bribes on projects within the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu for the 2025-2026 budget year.
