The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again examined the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Pekalongan, Central Java, Yulian Akbar, along with several officials from the Pekalongan Regency Government (Pemkab), on Thursday (9/4/2026).

The examination of Yulian Akbar is part of a series of in-depth investigations being pursued by the KPK, focusing on outsourcing issues within the Pemkab Pekalongan. Yulian stated that this examination is a continuation of the previous session with similar material.

“This is just continuing yesterday’s examination; the material is still the same,” Yulian said when intercepted by journalists after the examination at the Pekalongan City Police Resort Criminal Investigation Unit.

He explained that the number of questions posed by the investigators was not too many. In fact, Yulian admitted he could not recall the exact number of questions during the examination process.

“This is the third examination, so there weren’t many questions,” he said.

Regarding the substance of the examination, Yulian was brief in his comments. He emphasised that the material being probed has entered the investigation realm and thus cannot be disclosed to the public.

“If it’s already investigation material, I can’t disclose it,” Yulian explained.

He also did not rule out the possibility of being summoned again by investigators, given that the investigation process is still ongoing as needed by the KPK.

On this third day of examinations, KPK investigators did not only summon Yulian Akbar. Several other officials from the Pemkab Pekalongan environment were also asked for statements.

They included Secretary of the BPBD Service Budi Rahardjo, Director of Kajen Hospital Imam, and Kedungwuni Sub-District Head Bambang Dwi Yuswanto. In addition, Jalal from the Health Service and Rudi, a retired Acting Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service, also underwent examination.

Not only structural officials, but at least seven civil servants (ASN) from various regional apparatus organisations (OPD) with lower positions were also examined to complete the investigation’s needs.

The examination, initially scheduled to take place on the second floor of the Pekalongan City Police Resort building, experienced a change of location. The process was then moved to the Pekalongan City Police Resort Criminal Investigation Headquarters, which caused confusion among media personnel who had been waiting since morning at the gate entrance.

To date, the KPK is still gathering various statements to strengthen the case construction. The series of examinations of ASN in the Pemkab Pekalongan environment is certain to continue as part of the law enforcement process in the case.
