KPK Re-examines Kuansing DPRD Speaker in Bupati Suhardiman Bribery Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has re-examined the Speaker of the Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) DPRD, Juprizal. The examination is still related to the case of bribery for the filling of regional apparatus positions or the acceptance of gratuities that has ensnared the Bupati of Kuansing, Suhardiman Amby. KPK spokesperson Budi Presetyo stated on Friday (14/8/2026) that the witness was questioned regarding alleged corruption linked to the filling of positions in the Kuansing Regency administration from 2021 to 2026.

In addition to Juprizal, KPK investigators also re-examined the Acting Regional Secretary of the Kuansing Regency Government for the 2024-2025 period, Fahdiansyah, a Ministry of Forestry employee named Rama Andre Nugroho, and two private sector individuals, namely Petdri Utama, the Pekanbaru Branch Head of PT Clipan Finance Indonesia Tbk, and marketing staff Novianti. The examinations were conducted at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan, South Jakarta.

The KPK has previously searched the office of the Kuansing DPRD in connection with this case. Budi explained that the search was related to the suspicion that Bupati Suhardiman collected funds through intermediaries. Investigators are currently working to identify and detail the role of the intermediary in question.

In this case, the KPK has named three suspects. They are Suhardiman Amby, the Bupati of Kuansing; Zulkarnain, the Regional Secretary of Kuansing; and Ardiles, the President Director of PT MIC. Suhardiman is suspected of receiving a bribe in the form of a Toyota Land Cruiser from Zulkarnain, allegedly given to secure Zulkarnain’s appointment as Regional Secretary.
