The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again examined businessman Heri Setiyono (HS), alias Heri Black. He was questioned as a witness in a suspected corruption case related to importation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. “A witness in the suspected criminal act of corruption related to Customs and Excise,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters on Thursday (11/6/2026).

Besides Heri Black, the KPK also examined another witness, Sri Pangestuti, a Customs Clearance Service entrepreneur (PPJK) for the air route from Bali. Both were examined at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan, South Jakarta. “Both arrived around 10.00 WIB. The examination is currently underway,” Budi said.

Budi has not yet disclosed what investigators will further probe with Heri Black and Sri Pangestuti. However, Heri Black had previously been examined by the KPK regarding this case on Monday (18/5). After that examination, Heri Black did not convey what investigators had delved into with him. He only stated that he attended the examination as a form of obedience to the law. “I just attended the summons, I am a law-abiding citizen, I just attended,” Heri said at the time.

Meanwhile, the KPK stated that investigators probed Heri Black, among other things, regarding the results of a container search at Tanjung Mas Port. It is known that Heri was summoned for examination after investigators conducted searches at Tanjung Mas Port and his residence. “The witness was also confirmed regarding the container findings during the search at Tanjung Emas Port,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo.

In addition, the KPK also questioned Heri regarding the search in Semarang. At that time, records of payments to parties within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise were found. “Investigators are delving into findings from the search activities in Semarang, including records of payments to parties within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise,” he stated.

The importation case originated when the KPK initially named six suspects following a sting operation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) in a bribery case related to importation. The KPK seized evidence in this bribery case with a total value of Rp 40.5 billion. The evidence seized by the KPK included cash in rupiah amounting to Rp 1.89 billion, cash in US dollars amounting to 182,900, cash in Singapore dollars amounting to 1.48 million, cash in Japanese yen amounting to 55,000, precious metals weighing 2.5 kg equivalent to Rp 7.4 billion, precious metals weighing 2.8 kg equivalent to Rp 8.3 billion, and one luxury watch worth Rp 138 million.

Three private parties in this case are currently standing trial. The three individuals are John Field as the head of Blueray Cargo, Deddy Kurniawan Sukolo as the Operations Manager of Blueray Cargo, and Andri as the head of the documents team at Blueray Cargo. The three executives of PT Blueray Cargo have been charged with providing Rp 61.3 billion in Singapore dollar currency and providing various facilities and luxury goods amounting to Rp 1.8 billion. KPK prosecutors consider the defendants’ actions to have violated Article 605 paragraph 1 letter a and Article 606 paragraph 1 of Law Number 1 of 2023, the Criminal Code.
