KPK raids Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko's house, seizes three Toyota Hardtops and one Alphard

Jubir KPK Budi Prasetyo said the searches at Sugiri’s house were conducted on Tuesday (19 May). The house in Desa Bajang, Ponorogo Regency, was searched. ‘From the results of the searches, investigators found and seized evidence in the form of four vehicles. For the cars, 3 Hardtops and 1 Alphard,’ Budi told reporters on Wednesday (20 May 2026). He explained that the search activity relates to the investigation into alleged acts of corruption in gratification and money laundering (TPPU) in Ponorogo Regency for the period 2020 to 2026. He also stated that on the same day, investigators also searched two offices of the Ponorogo Regency Government, namely the Health Office and the Education Office. ‘From the searches at the two offices, the investigation team secured a number of evidentiary items in the form of documents, letters, and electronic evidence,’ Budi said. ‘Subsequently, the evidentiary results from the searches will be seized for the purposes of the investigation process,’ he added. Earlier, on Monday (18 May), KPK conducted searches at one private residence belonging to a private party, CTR, in Pacitan, East Java. At that time, investigators seized electronic evidence. There are three clusters of alleged corruption surrounding Sugiri. The first cluster involves bribery over appointment to the Director of the Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) Harjono Ponorogo. Asep stated that the total money given to Sugiri amounted to Rp 900 million. The second cluster involves alleged bribes related to a project at RSUD Harjono Ponorogo in 2024. The project value at RSUD Ponorogo was Rp 14 billion. The total alleged bribes amount to Rp 1.4 billion. The third cluster involves alleged gratification by Sugiri. KPK suspects Sugiri received gratitude money amounting to Rp 300 million in 2023-2025. In total, there are four suspects in the case: 1) Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG) 2) Ponorogo Secretary Agus Pramono (AGP) 3) President Director of RSUD Harjono Ponorogo Yunus Mahatma (YUM) 4) Sucipto (SC), a private party partner of RSUD Ponorogo in the project packages within Ponorogo Regency.
