KPK Raids Ono Surono's Home, He Responds Like This

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) raided the home of Ono Surono, Deputy Chairman of the West Java DPRD, in Bandung and Indramayu in connection with the investigation into a bribery case for advance payments on projects implicating the dismissed Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK). Ono stated that he respects the ongoing legal process. “Well, we have always respected the legal process being carried out by the KPK. The trials are currently underway. We just wait and see,” Ono said when interviewed at the Pakuan Building in Bandung, as reported by detikJabar on Wednesday (15/4/2026). As the Chairman of the PDIP’s West Java branch, Ono said he has an obligation to respect every law enforcement process conducted by the authorities. “But the main point is that I truly respect the legal process carried out by the KPK. Of course, as a good citizen, we must respect it and we will see what happens,” he said. Ono also mentioned that various matters related to the case have been conveyed by his legal team to the public. He asked all parties to refer to the facts that emerge in the trial. When asked about his name not being listed in the indictment, Ono asked the public to directly view the contents of the trial documents that have been read out. “Friends have heard and seen the indictment of Mr Sarjan (a private party who is a suspect). Is my name there? Is it? Well then,” he said. He stated that there was no flow of funds received by him, either personally or to the party. “But from the beginning until now, I remain consistent that there is no flow of funds whatsoever entering the party or me,” he said. Regarding the seizure of money by the KPK found during the raid in Bandung, Ono again referred to the explanation provided by his legal team, stating that the money is his wife’s arisan savings. “Well, it has been explained by my legal team, that’s how it is,” he said.
