JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a series of searches and seizures related to a suspected corruption case involving the importation of goods within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Ministry of Finance from Monday (11/5/2026) to Tuesday (12/5/2026). Initially, the KPK searched the home of customs entrepreneur Heri Setiyono, alias Heri Black, in Semarang on Monday (11/5/2026). The KPK suspects Heri Black is affiliated with PT Blueray, a company alleged to have bribed customs officials. From the search of Heri Black’s home, the KPK seized several notes and electronic evidence items. “There is information obtained regarding efforts to condition or influence the handling of cases related to customs and excise matters at the KPK,” he stated. Budi said this could be viewed as or fall into the category of attempts to obstruct investigations, either directly or indirectly. “Therefore, the investigators will certainly consider whether those actions constitute elements of obstructing the investigation or not,” he added. Nevertheless, the KPK has not detailed who is involved in conditioning those cases. “On Tuesday (12/5), the investigators proceeded to conduct searches and seizures of a container suspected to belong to an importer affiliated with Blueray,” he said. Budi explained that the container’s owner had not submitted a Goods Import Notification to Customs for more than 30 days. He also revealed that the container contains items classified as prohibited or restricted for import, namely vehicle spare parts. “The investigators will certainly clarify this with Blueray and related parties, including the importing company, forwarder, and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise,” Budi stated.
