KPK Raids Home of Former Acting Sekda of Pati, Seizes Documents
The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a search operation regarding allegations of extortion in the appointment of prospective village officials that implicate Pati Regent Sudewo. The KPK searched the home of Riyoso (RYS), the former Acting Secretary (Pj Sekda) of Pati Regency.
“In the continuation of the investigation into alleged corruption offences related to extortion in the appointment of prospective village officials in Pati Regency, today Friday (27 February), investigators searched the residence of RYS, the former Acting Secretary of Pati Regency,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Friday (27 February 2026).
The KPK seized several pieces of evidence during the search. This evidence will be analysed further by the KPK.
“During the search operation, investigators secured several documents and electronic evidence to support the investigation process for this case,” he stated.
In this case, the KPK has named four suspects, one of whom is Pati Regent Sudewo. The KPK suspects that Sudewo set a fee of Rp 125–150 million for prospective village officials. The fee was subsequently increased by his subordinates to Rp 165–225 million for each prospective village official. The KPK has seized a total of Rp 2.6 billion in relation to this case.
Sudewo also formed a team called the “Team 8”. This team comprised Sudewo’s campaign staff.
The identities of the four suspects in the extortion case involving prospective village officials in Pati are:
Sudewo as Pati Regent for the 2025–2030 term
Abdul Suyono as Village Head of Karangrowo, Jakenan District
Sumarjiono as Village Head of Arumanis, Jaken District
Karjan as Village Head of Sukorukun, Jaken District
