KPK Raids 12 Locations in Connection with Mayor Maidi Case, Documents and Electronic Evidence Seized
Jakarta, VIVA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out searches at 12 locations related to the case ensnaring suspended Mayor of Madiun, Maidi. The searches took place from 6 to 9 April 2026.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the agency secured a number of documents and electronic evidence items from the searches.
“In the searches conducted in stages, the team secured several documents and electronic evidence items that are suspected to be related and can clarify the matter in this investigation stage,” Budi told reporters on Friday, 10 April 2026.
Budi said that KPK would subsequently analyse every piece of evidence seized from the dozen locations.
Meanwhile, he explained that the locations searched by KPK in connection with the Maidi case included the home of the Head of the Communication and Informatics Department of Madiun City, Noor Aflah, on 6 April 2026.
Then, the homes of two private individuals on 7 April 2026, the home of the Director of the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Taman Sari of Madiun City, Suyoto, and four private individuals on 8 April 2026, as well as four other locations on 9 April 2026.
“On Thursday (9/4), KPK conducted searches at four locations, namely one location at the home of a civil servant in the Environmental Department of Madiun City, and the other three locations were homes of private individuals,” he explained.
Previously, on 19 January 2026, KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) against Madiun Mayor Maidi.
On the same date, KPK revealed that the OTT against Maidi was related to kickbacks for projects and corporate social responsibility and environmental funds (CSR) in Madiun City.
On 20 January 2026, KPK announced that three people were named as suspects following the OTT, namely Madiun Mayor Maidi (MD), Rochim Ruhdiyanto (RR) as Maidi’s trusted aide, and the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department of Madiun City, Thariq Megah (TM).
KPK also announced that there were two clusters in the alleged extortion case using the modus operandi of project kickbacks and CSR funds, as well as other receipts or gratifications in the Madiun City Government environment.
First, alleged extortion with suspects Maidi and Rochim Ruhdiyanto. Second, alleged gratifications with suspects Maidi and Thariq Megah. (Ant)
