The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is further investigating the management of work packages in the Rejang Lebong Regency government during the questioning of Anton Doriska (ADO), a member of the Rejang Lebong Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) from the PKB faction, on Monday (25 May). Investigators are also probing Anton’s communications with relevant parties. ‘The witness is being questioned about the management of tender packages, including communications with relevant parties,’ said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Monday (25 May). The questioning took place at the KPK’s Red and White Building in South Jakarta. Anton was questioned as a witness in connection with a corruption case involving project kickbacks in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, which implicated Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari for the 2025-2030 term. According to the KPK’s official examination schedule, Anton is listed as having a business background. However, he currently serves as an active legislator on the Rejang Lebong Regency DPRD from the PKB faction. The KPK has named five suspects in the corruption case involving project kickbacks in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Two suspects as recipients of bribes are Regent Fikri and the Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlements Department (PUPRPKP), Harry Eko Purnomo. Three suspects as bribe givers are Irsyad Satria Budiman of PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala of CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yusdiantoro of CV Alpagker Abadi. All suspects are currently detained at the KPK’s Red and White Building branch detention facility. Fikri and Harry Eko are charged under Article 12(a) or (b) and/or Article 12B of the Anti-Corruption Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 20(c) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP). The three private sector suspects face charges under Article 605(1) or Article 606(1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 on Penalty Adjustments. The case was uncovered by the KPK through a sting operation (OTT). During ongoing investigations, the KPK has conducted raids at multiple locations, including the regent’s residence, the PUPRPKP head’s home and office, the education department office, and the homes of suspects and witnesses. The raids were carried out intensively from 13 March to 15 March 2026. The KPK seized several pieces of evidence allegedly related to the case, including documents, electronic evidence (BBE), and Rp1 billion in cash from Harry Eko’s residence.
